The physician who reads the imaging performs the procedure
Interventional radiology treats disease from inside the vessel, through a puncture a few millimetres wide, guided by live imaging. There is no surgical incision, no general anaesthesia in most cases, and patients usually go home the same day.
Dr. Pıçak reviews each case himself, from the first scan to the last follow-up. Imaging sent from abroad is read personally, and the treatment plan that follows says plainly whether an image-guided option is appropriate — including when it is not.

Radiology residency — 2015
Completed specialist training in radiology at İstanbul Training and Research Hospital, across CT, MRI, ultrasound and angiography.
State service — 2015–2017
Compulsory state service as a radiologist at Tatvan State Hospital.
Interventional radiology — 2018 onwards
Practising interventional radiologist at İzmir Çiğli Training and Research Hospital: embolization, venous disease and image-guided ablation.
Languages: Turkish and English. Medical imaging sent from abroad is read personally.
